They were bakers, soldiers, lovers, and everyday Romans who simply wanted to express themselves. Their feelings, their beliefs, their stories, engraved for all to see. They're the scribbles, confessions, and inside jokes left behind by ordinary people, proof that humanity hasn't changed nearly as much as we like to think.

We believe history is most powerful when it's personal. So instead of focusing on the stories of emperors, generals, and senators we all know and love, we focus on the voices of the people who lived alongside them. The stories left out of the history books, scratched onto tavern walls, carved as names between lovers, traded as petty insults between neighbours. It's history with its guard down.
